Love Fulfilled

Constant Affection

Blue Flowers   Blue flowers such as the bluebell and violet, symbolize the depths of true love.  Blue was the color associated with the Greek goddess Hera, protector of marriage and fidelity.

Laurel   In parts of Europe the laurel was once believed to deter lightening, which splits two things.  A couple would each pin half of a laurel sprig to their clothes to show their constancy.

Fertility

Moon    The moon is the symbol of female fertility.  To most people, the moon itself is seen as female,  though in some areas it is associated with male potency.  For the Maori, the moon is "every woman's husband".

Rabbits and Hares   These most productive of mammals are linked with the moon as symbols of female fecundity and are attributes of the goddess Venus.  They were associated with ancient spring fertility festivals.
